YourDogPortrait.com has arisen from many years of painting dogs. The artist, Diane Heller, was raised by an Airedale. While he did not go TO the Prom with Ms. Heller, he did help pick out the purple Qiana dress she wore.
 
Ms. Heller attended Obedience Training...with Briar, the Airedale. They graduated, the second time...with third place honors: in a class of three dogs. Along with this diploma, Diane Heller has a degree in art from Brown University, with many classes at Rhode Island School of Design included. Ms. Heller is also an animator, training at Hanna Barbera, Disney, University of S. California and holds an MFA degree in film and animation from UCLA.
 
The art of animation has offered Ms. Heller the opportunity to draw about 50,000 drawings in the past twenty years. This, combined with walking many dogs while taking a break from animating each day, has resulted in a large repertoire of styles. Her deft handling of line and color, and her great appreciation of dogs, combine to make a very fine portrait.
